Suggested beaches for swimmingAlmost all of the beaches on the island have shallow waters! We therefore suggest the following, as they generally seem to be those most preferred by tourists and locals. ARGASSI  Argassi has become one of the busiest seaside tourist resorts, spread out over a wooded hill. Its beach is very popular and is preferred by families. PORTO ZORO  Relax and swim in the crystal-clear sea, diving from the large rocks, in an absolutely idyllic setting. There are restaurants and beach parasols to protect you from the sun.  BANANA BEACH A quiet sandy beach with crystal waters. Two attractive beach bars offer a relaxing view, sunloungers and parasols.  AGIOS NIKOLAOS Agios Nikolaos with the little church of the same name on the rock, is the golden sandy beach preferred by youths. There are beach bars, water sports, sun loungers and all of the amenities. GERAKAS  Paradise! The area of Gerakas is the most important breeding habitat in the Mediterranean for the loggerhead sea turtle Caretta – Caretta! Visitors maintain that it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece.
The marine park full of treasures! Laganas Bay is home to the protected loggerhead sea turtle Caretta – Caretta! There are many tavernas, beach bars and organized boat trips to the islets of Peluso and Marathonisi! Here, where the natural environment remains intact, swim with the turtles.
 KERI LAKE  A settlement of particular beauty and as the name suggests, it lies in the embrace of a bay, opposite the islet of Marathonisi. The view from above gives the impression of a lake with clear water! There is a picturesque beach with tall tamarisks down to the waves’ edge. You can try local specialities at one of the tavernas. KALAMAKI  A cosmopolitan beach, a natural extension of the vast Laganas beach. It provides all holiday facilities, wonderful sand and clear waters! Ideal for families! TSILIVI  A long beach with golden sand, crystal-clear waters, many tourist amenities, water sports, beach bars and other facilities. AMPOULA  A beach with coarse sand overlooking Kefalonia, between Tsilivi and Alykes. There is one taverna, a bar and a few sunloungers. Ideal for those wanting peace and quiet! Extremely clear waters! ALYKES  A pretty fishing village, with a wonderful, long stretch of sand, providing all kinds of water sports. It took its name from the salt flats there which produce salt. PSAROU  Quiet sandy beach with a crystal-clear sea, in a peaceful environment without crowds! You will need your parasol. Two tavernas are there to serve you.
One of the most enchanting beaches with deep, clear-blue waters and pebbles. Peculiar morphology in relation to all the other beaches on the island. Don’t forget to take your parasol with you! Tavernas at a distance of 200-500 metres.
